About Jasper
Jasper was bred by our friend Marcy at Ruffwater Golden Retrievers and his sire is our very own dog, Gibbs. Not only did Jasper have a sweet temperament, he was smart, biddable, and embodied all that a golden should be. He had a good foundations for obedience work and was an all-around wonderful dog to live with and own.
Jasper won 4 points toward his AKC Championship his first weekend in the Open Dog class in Cumberland, MD in October 2014. He was owner handled to these wins. Jasper won Best in Sweepstakes at the Cuyahoga Valley GRC Specialty in June 2014. Afterward, we ran to the rally ring to earn his last leg and new RN title!
Jasper won a 4 point major win at the Greater Pittsburgh Golden Retriever Club Specialty under breeder-judge Cindy Partridge. Having kids set back our plans for Jasper. He was scheduled to be shown for his last major but Covid-imposed restrictions on dog shows had interfered with our plans to finish Jasper. In June 2023, at the Cuyahoga Valley Golden Retriever Club, Jasper was Winner's Dog and Best of Winners for a 5 point major to finish is AKC Championship at the tender age of 10 years. He was handled to this win by handler Ginny Kincer.
